Terms of Service

Version 2026-09-27

Draft — this text is awaiting review by a Swedish lawyer.

In short

TekDok connects you to a real person who helps you with your phone, tablet or computer, over video. We sell you the call; the helper is an independent contractor working through us. The first five minutes are free, after that you pay per minute from the card you saved, and we charge the card when the call ends. Nothing is recorded. You can stop a call, stop sharing your screen, or delete your account whenever you like. Swedish law applies.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between you and TEKDOK 55.AI AB, org.nr 559565-5894, Artillerigatan 6, 114 51 Stockholm, Sweden (“TekDok”, “we”, “us”).

In these terms, a caller is someone asking for help, a helper (or mentor) is the person giving it, and a family sponsor is a caller who keeps a list of relatives they help look after.

2. What the service is

You describe a technology problem. We find an available helper near you, ring them, and put the two of you into a video call in which you can share your screen if you want to.

  • Helpers give practical, everyday technology help. They do not give financial, legal, medical or tax advice, and nothing said on a call is professional advice of that kind.
  • We cannot promise that a problem will be solved, that a helper will be available at a given moment, or that anyone will answer.
  • We may change or stop features of the service. If a change is to your disadvantage we will tell you first.

3. Your account

You must be 18 or older. One account belongs to one person: do not share it, and keep your password and passkeys to yourself. Tell us at once if you think someone else has got into your account.

Your family list is for your own use in asking for help on someone’s behalf. It gives you no access to their account.

4. Prices, payment and refunds

  • Every new account gets 5 free minutes. They are used up before any money is charged.
  • After that, calls are billed per minute, at the price shown in the app before you call.
  • Your currency is fixed the first time you save a card and cannot be changed afterwards.
  • We charge the card you saved when the call ends, and show you what it cost. We do not take money before a call.
  • Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
  • If a payment fails we will ask you to fix it before your next call.
  • If something went wrong — no helper appeared, the call broke down, the help was not what we describe here — write to privacy@mytekdok.com and we will look at it and refund where it is fair.

Your right of withdrawal, and how you can lose it

As a consumer buying at a distance you normally have 14 days to change your mind (Distansavtalslagen). Because a help call is of no use tomorrow, we ask you, before your first paid call, to confirm two things: that you want the service to begin immediately, and that you understand you lose the 14-day right once a call has been fully carried out. Until you do that, no paid call starts. We record the date and time you confirmed it.

If a call has begun but is not finished, and you withdraw, you pay for the part already delivered.

5. Screen sharing and staying safe

You decide whether to share your screen, and you can stop at any time. Sharing is live only and is never recorded.

Before you share:

  • close your bank, e-ID and email apps;
  • never type a password, a card number, a BankID code or a one-time code while sharing;
  • never let a helper ask you for any of those, or ask you to install remote-control software, or ask you to move the conversation or the payment off TekDok.

A genuine TekDok helper will never do those things. If one does, end the call and report them on the screen that follows it. Reports go to us, not to the helper.

6. Helpers

Helpers are independent contractors, approved by us by hand before they can take a call. They are bound by a separate Mentor Agreement that requires them to keep what they see confidential, never to record anything, never to ask for money or contact outside TekDok, and never to ask for your passwords or codes.

We sell you the call and are the one you deal with. That does not make a helper our employee, and they decide for themselves when they are available and which calls to take.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use TekDok to break the law, to get help with anything fraudulent, to harass or abuse anybody, to impersonate someone else, or to scrape, copy or overload the service. Do not record a call. We may suspend an account that does.

8. Our responsibility, and its limits

We will provide the service with reasonable skill and care, as Swedish consumer law requires.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury, for gross negligence or intent, or anything else that cannot be limited by law — and your rights under the Swedish Consumer Services Act and Consumer Sales Act always stand.

Beyond that: we are not responsible for how your own device, software or internet connection behaves, for data you lose or changes you make on your own device during or after a call, or for indirect losses such as lost income. Where our liability can be limited, it is limited to what you have paid us for the call concerned.

9. Suspension, ending the agreement, deletion

You may stop using TekDok at any time and delete your account from You → Account. Deletion removes your personal data; calls we must keep for bookkeeping stay, with nothing in them that identifies you. See the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is used fraudulently, or where we must do so by law. Unless the breach is serious we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.

10. Changes, governing law and disputes

We will tell you in the app before important changes take effect and ask you to accept the new version. The date at the top of this page is the version in force.

Swedish law governs this agreement. You may bring a dispute to the Swedish courts, or — usually faster and free — to the National Board for Consumer Disputes, ARN (arn.se). We will take part in an ARN case and follow its recommendation.
